Most cover letter sites let you type the whole thing, then ask for an account, a “free” trial, or a payment to take the watermark off. This one doesn’t. The PDF download is free, every time, with no sign-up and no watermark.
It also works differently under the hood. The form, the preview, and the PDF are all produced inside your browser. Nothing you type — your name, address, phone number, the company you’re applying to, or what you say about yourself — is sent anywhere. There is no server to send it to: this page loads no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party code at all.
Plain formatting, because that’s what gets read
A cover letter is judged on what it says, and it often passes through applicant tracking software before a person opens it. Decorative layouts can scramble in those systems. The layout here is a single column of real text in reading order: your contact details, the date, who it’s addressed to, a greeting, your paragraphs, and a sign-off. The PDF holds selectable text rather than a picture of text, so it can be searched, copied, and parsed.
Leave a blank line between paragraphs and each one becomes its own paragraph in the preview. A single line break inside a paragraph is treated as a soft wrap, so you can write however is comfortable in the box.
Matching the resume you already wrote
If you built a resume in this browser with the NoAdsTools resume builder, the “Use my details from a resume” control appears at the top of the form and copies your name, email, phone, and location across, so the two documents agree without retyping. It reads your saved resumes from this browser only, it never changes them, and it only shows up when there is something to copy.
Your data stays yours
Your draft autosaves to this browser’s local storage so a refresh never loses work, and “Clear my data” removes it whenever you choose. Clearing your letters does not touch any resume you saved — the two tools use separate keys. You can also export the letter as a small .json file — a copy you own — and import it later, or on another device, to keep editing. On a shared or public computer, export your file and clear your data when you finish.
